Plate Transfer Question

I have two cars, Car 1 and Car 2, and I also have a plate on retention.

Car 2 currently has a generic plate, whereas Car 1 has a personal plate.

I want to move the plate that's on Car 1 to Car 2 and place the plate I have on retention onto Car 1. All at the same time (I can pop into a local DVLA office).

Is all I need a V778 (for the retention to Car 1) and a V317 (from Car 1 to Car 2)? Oh and my debit card!

Yes, although there are only a very limited number of DVLA local offices these days. It's usually a case of mail to Swansea.

Make sure you do the "transfer" before or simultaneously with the the "from retention". Otherwise you'll get in a mess.
