When I ordered my kit I asked for the upgrade Intrax coilovers and I was told that Ultima had a few issues with Intrax and now they use a different brand inplace of them. Problem is they didn't let me know a brand and there is no brand printed on them anywhere. Just wondering if anyone has used these coilovers yet if so what are the base settings meant to be for bump and rebound?

Also I did a search and can't seem to find anywhere that someones posted up the factory wheel PCD and offset? Is this published info?

Ah ok. The adjusters look the same. Mine are anodized gold with no sticker is that something protech do just for Ultima?

Are there any base stock adjustment settings that Ultima suggest?

Settings depend on what the car is to be used for.

I would start in the middle and tune them to your taste/use, a couple of clicks at a time as it is very easy to do.

What problems with Intrax?
Not on the road yet.
I have them, and now I am a tad concerned!

I'd be interested to hear too. Intrax would normally be considered much higher quality than protech, which although good are more avo competitors IMO.

Is probably more to do with cost.

I heard that there were some quality issues, with the odd one being delivered to Ultima with leaks etc - though I am sure if they have been through the factory you have nothing to worry about.

My experince with Intrax has been confused. I like the ride and dampening qualitys but one of my Intrax leaked from day one. The folks at Intrax were very good about replacing that shock with a new one. But.... they have no repair facility or partner here in the states. Now a second shock is leaking and the last shock sent by a friend to Holland for repairs on a leak got stuck in Dutch customs for an extended period of time. I am now buying a set of two way adjustable alloy bodied Koni's set up for the car by a very knowledgable Koni expert localy. No I did not want to spend this money or time. But I also am not a fan of lkeaking shocks and extended repair times. The factory is making a change I will assume that they have heard this story before I know that discussed it with them and they helped as much as they could. Lee

The Protec dampers I fitted last autumn worked well so I would not worry if you have been supplied with them.

I can understand your frustration with the Intrax leaks. A local supplier is always quicker and easier. I hope the Koni's work well.

Does anyone know if there is an off-the-shelf Ohlins fitment for the GTR? Or the specs to have a set built up? I've never been more pleased than with that brand.

I can't find any off the shelf specs but I can build you a set if required.
