Hi all, any help on this weird problem would be appreciated!

The car has an Autowatch alarm and immob.

The problem started yesterday. When I press the fob to unlock the doors I can hear the unlock 'clunk', then immediately they 'clunk' again and lock themselves.

From inside the car I can hold the locking button on the door open, and there's a continuous clunking as they try to lock, they won't stay unlocked.

Alarm and immob is working normally. Fob only has one button.

Anyone ever experienced a similar problem? Cheers.

Hi Deeps,

I had similar problem in my Mr2 N/A which seemed to be water getting into the wiring loom under the drivers footwell which is a small compartment and with some water repel spray did the trick. Could be something on the same lines!

i had the same issue with the doors locking them selves (Mk2 MR2)and i had a corroded wire in the loom. when i removed the door wiring where it goes through the rubber boot it had let water in and the outer had perished, simple solder job, bit of shrink wrap and job sorted.
