Hi

Well today I got a big surprise, it was like an early Christmas present!

I have over the last few months been trying to find an Insurance company who would insure all 5 TVR's and my Jeep on one policy. A few would but at double the price of the individual car's insurance rate. So they were no good! I felt like I was banghead against a brick wall!

I am the only driver, I can only drive one at a time, so what's the problem? It's a simple equation! Take the fastest car as the basic risk then add the total value of all the cars and that's the complete risk simple!!!!!!

So when I was at the NEC the other week! I had another go again going round the insurers and see what they could do!
Two haven't even bothered to come back with a price. The company I use for a couple of cars already gave me a price nearly double the individual rate.

But today Footman James have come up with a price which is less than 1K. Including all their usual benfits and agreeded car values (Once I provide proof) Higher yearly mileage. The cost is less than the rate of four of the cars and the average price is just over £164 per car!

GREAT who says there's not a Father Christmas!!!!!! xmasbounceclapwoohoo

It will probably hit my car!!..eek..I went with heritage via footman james and it was nearly £800 cheaper than a previous insurer..I did reduce the amount of estimated miles travelled each year as well as i calculated them way too high in the beginning..Ziga

If that was me i dont think i could resist the temptation of opening every garage and starting every car..Revving each one in turn until ive decided which one i will be using today..It would probably be the SEAC..lick

In general yes apart from one who moans every time I start working on them! She even moans when I start one up to go to work occasionally. I can't understand that it's normally only the SEAC or Cerbie at 5.30 on a Sat morning, no sense of humour some people hehe

Andy, that is a magnificent picture. We can't see the end of the garages either side of the picture, are you building more garages to accommodate more TVR's? May as well have the whole collection. Enjoy.

You need to send one to Sprint (picture this),must win something, interconnecting doors as well , assume that's not all ya living quarters behind the garages, be one hell of a window cleaners bill.

Andy, is the one in the middle the No1 350i you told me about at the NEC?
I believe there's a video clip of that car floating about on Youtube, again at the NEC?

I'm now hunting around for that 'speaker grille', which isn't actually a speaker grille biggrin

That is epic. bow

One advantage is that the odds of having a working TVR are greatly increased.

Tony

The garages are in fact owned buy the local housing assocation, they are in a block of 8 I have the middle 6 plus use of the left hand end garage should I wish to extend the TVR collection.

Now what shall I get!!!!!!!

Mark

Done that and its hard to decide! Both the 280i have a different sound! The 350i is in comparison quite. Yes the SEAC is noisy but the Cerbie makes more pops and bangs on over run, so it depends what type of journey you plan on doing!
