Mrs 911m's S3 has been keyed from front edge of door all along the side in to the rear quarter, It's through to the primer.

Car is fully comp. If we claim will it cost us more in the long run through increased premiums?

I'd just pay for it if you can afford it, or live with it.

I claimed for damage a couple of years back and have probably paid about 60-70% of the claim price in increased premiums/excess. More significantly, nowhere will take into account my (protected) no-claims and otherwise clean insurance history if I want to insure a second car.

Closely followed by the arguement why not to! If I'd known how much the claim would be settled for, I would have stumped up the cash myself. I also suspect that by the time I no longer have to declare the claim I will have paid the same amount in increased premiums.
