Vixen series 2 carb swap??
Discussion
Hi guys.
I have just purchased a shiny new weber 32/36 DGV to replace the 1969 vintage 32DFM as fitted to my series 2 vixen.
The carb linkage pivots on the opposite hand so my existing throttle linkage doesn't fit. I have a spare 32/36 DGAV on another manifold which came as a spare with the car. I notice the inlet manifold on the spare DGAV has 3 threaded holes tapped into it to take a bracket?
I am thinking back to my old MK 2 escort days, but seem to remember a metal bracket and rod which bolts to this to operate the throttle.
Am i correct in thinking that the series 3 vixen which used the capri crossflow has the same linkage etc as the one I obviously need and also the threaded manifold??
It seems that I can sort the problem by using the spare manifold with new carb, series 3 linkage and bracketry. has anyone else done this swap. also has anyone else who has converted to webers got the old bracketry going spare (near to rochdale)
any ideas Guys?
Neil
