Has anyone used a combination of the two or even gone mad and completly retrimed their car with Alcantara?

If so, Whos got some pictures to post, I got it in the daily driver and prefer it now to leather (probable still a novelty)and was woundering if i should get a few select bits like top of the dash and part of the centre console (arm resty bit) recovered.

I'm doing my tuscan now with :
alcantara - dash, door cards, rear door card things, rear speaker panel, roof
leather- seats and console re trim
existing vinyl on roll cage and door bottoms.
new carpets

would love to trim the whole lot in alcantara but for seats it wears too quick imo and i also don't have a blank cheque frown

should look awesome, did the dash today and even though half the car is in bits it looks great.

Don't joke - My interior got trashed by a local cat that got in under the soft top and couldn't get back out... frown

No I got the dash done for £60.00 everything else I did with macdeb was pretty easy and made it look so so so much better IMHO.

Macdeb are you planning on having any other parts of the dash done? just having the top bit looks abit odd, especially with the bit by the windscreen sameish colour but in vinyl? all IMO ofcorse,

though I was just about to order a couple of hides of Leather now Im not sure!!! thanks a bunch! hehe

Not a fan of the stuff myself having done the car out in it some time back. It scuffed really badly at any points of wear, it absorbed road dirt and was difficult to keep clean (it was a light colour however), and as you can see by the photos it "flocks" in the direction of any finger marks. Silly money as well. I personally think there are much better harder wearing materials out there, its just a case of getting down to your local car uphosterer to have a look.

Cool hehe I left the piece below the windscreen viynl so it matches the door tops where they meet so it sort of 'flows' around the car if you see what I mean and there's a contrast between the two. [we did the same with neals car] I did the door cards also to match the side bolsters. In fact it was the door cards that were done first as I've never liked carpet up the doors, I used a 10mm foam underneath it on them so it's slightly padded. Also did the bit in middle of steering wheel to lose the ugly black metal. I like the way it 'flocks' when touched and have no wear issues to date. In fact our daily driver [Alfa] has it and it still looks as good as when we first had it, and we've had the car from new [53 plate]. Depends on how you treat your cars interior I suppose.
