Unusual set of circumstances and not really a relative of mine, I dont want to sound ungrateful, it was a very sweet gesture of the old duffer, a proper petrol head he was too, at Brooklands before the war as a young boy.

I have just inherited two cars, a 1985 rovers 213S, rotten as a pear, 220k miles on the clock, absolutely knackered in every respect and I scrapped it 2 months ago when he went into hospital.

Second car, a Jaguar XJ40, 3.2, 1992, the old fella had crashed it twice, Spanish registered, not runnning, leaking oil, bashed and dented, one tyre looks about set to burst with a big blister, sadly to be scrapped or broken for spares too.

He left me some old tools and a few motoring books too.

Anyone been left a decent car?
