Just a quick & simple question.... any advice on how to adjust the Brembo handbrake calipers that are supplied with the AP big brake kits? I didn't get anything in the box and thought I'd check in with the group before bothering the factory.....

At the moment, I've adjusted the cables at the handbrake lever to half way down their thread and still have to pull it all the way up to get bite... if I adjust it to get a good action, I'll have no thread left, therefore, I assume there's something I can do on the calipers themselves? Any ideas?

Thanks, Mark

I ended up putting spacers in my cables at the calliper end and still have to use full travel to get bite in fact handbrake was dragging on the way to mot test and I still only just passed!

There must be something wrong. The handbrake on an Ultima is quite good and both chassis I have built have had no problems with the handbrake and adjustment less than 50% of the way down the thread.

Give the Factory a call. Unless they have changed something you have a build error. Pictures may help us identify the problem.

My cables are at 50% engagement.
Perhaps you have a set of cables out of tolerance,

Thanks guys. The cables are all properly located, so can't see how I'd have a build error.... will give the factory a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Caliper on the wrong side of the car maybe? As stated handbrake works very well.
