Train from Witham to London

Can anybody confirm the cost of a return train ticket from Witham to London.

On the web I've been quoted £108.90 return. So thats over £300 for 3 of us to go to London for the day. It would be cheaper to hire a mini cab for the day! No wonder people don't get the train, you can get a return flight to Spain for less!

For when, and what time?

The key to the train is to book in advance, and off peak.

Given I can travel at peak time from the Midlands to London for £49 on the day of travel, that does seem steep.
