Minolta AF Lenses - Are they Compatible with Sony?

I have some Minolta AF lenses from the later 1990s (pre-digital era), which I plan to sell.

For advertising purposes, what camera bodies will they fit?

They will fit all alpha mount Sony cameras.

Be aware that a few older Sigma and Tokina lenses are not detected by the Alpha range, so they fit but the camera can't autofocus them and won't fire unless the menu option to allow shutter release without lens attached is enabled (I think some bodies don't have this option). If you look up the lenses on the dyxum lens database at http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/index.asp there are usually comments to that effect where they are somtimes affected. Sigma used to offer a re-chipping service but I don't think they do it any more.
