now the wheels are off being refurbished, I'm keen to replace the standard wheel nuts with some decent ones.

Before spending £75 of my money, has anyone any comment on ShinyNuts (do they last, etc) and a picture (Pies??)

cheers

Mike

Have a word with V8Smith. He has a set from ShinyNuts and they certainly look the part. Not cheap though.

Hi Mike,
Yes I have Shiny Nuts.....go on the Podie! They look the part and as has been mentioned they are marine grade S/S so will definitely last, not cheap but worth it when you work out how long they will last!

Take a look at my profile photo and if you want a closer pic let me know.

I spent a hour one weekend polishing my nuts... Podie

I was well pleased with the reults for effectivley nothing. I'll take some piccys and post them tonight.

First with a wire brush wheel mounted in a drill held in a vice then with a metal polishing cotton wheel and polishing paste.

only need 12, as I've got 4 locking nuts.

regrettably, no discount.

Pleased you like them guys, anyone who wants to buy 4 less nuts because of existing locking nuts, no problem - prorata price reduction is always offered. However several peeps who've done this have come back to buy 4 more nuts because one odd one per wheel looks a bit iffy.

I've looked into doing locking ones but without Thatcham approval it's pointless (no insurance cover) and that process is also very expensive.

Anyone know a TVR wheel(s) that's been nicked off the car???? Not heard of anyone so far...

I sent Mike an e-mail pretty much saying what you have, I think three per wheel would look odd, but I do believe they are haing some covers made to make them look like Shiny nuts!

I also have never heard of a TVR wheel being nicked..........? Anyone else?

There was a post a few months back where a couple of Tuscans on a garage forecourt OOP North had their wheels nicked.... Put up on blocks overnight...But they are the only ones I've heard of...

Interesting because you'd think they would be stolen to order. I can't imagine any TVR owner stooping that low and the only other vehicle they'll fit is a Cherokee Jeep...Spiders on a Jeep, I don't think so. But I'm probably just naive.

Not insinuating anything but I saw a set of S2 OZ alloys on a mk4 Escort van just before Christmas.
