I was wondering what the gap was, as standard, on a 400/450 wedge between the top of the tyre and the arch.

Having just changed my springs with uprated ones the car definately sits higher than before(perhaps 2 inches)bearing in mind:

a) The old springs were definately tired and

b) The new ones are definately stiffer but were the same length as the old ones when off the car

Steve (combine) what gap did you have on the seac when running these springs?

Don't get me wrong it looks absolutely fine (i thnk the front was low before due to tired springs and softer damper set up) i was just wondering what other were running with.

Cheers Jimbo

Have you checked your front suspension mounts/turrets in case they may have warped?

Top mounts and lower wishbone mounts are fine. TBH before i changed the front was quite low. The tyres filled the arches with little space between arch

Actually now i have compared these two pics the difference is perhaps not as much as i thought. Definately higher but not by much.

I havent driven it yet could i expect it to settle a little once i drive it?

Jimbo

Car looks good, front wheels look to me a little reward in the arch!

Andy i think that's because the wheel is turned slightly. They are central when straight.

I think your car is sitting rather well on the refurb wheels and springs, if i were you i would take it for a wee drive down the road and then have another look at how she is sitting, still looking good there cool
Still i think white is one of the best colours for the SE shape.
Now what would the SE look like in pearlescent white, now i think that would look realy special..biggrin

Hmmmmm. What colour fleck would you go for? Gold for me to go with the wheels. Or blue.............
