..and I don't mean just wide, low profile tyres. Modern cars are increasingly wide, but very little look purposeful. It's almost a deliberate look rather that born out of absolute single minded purpose. I think a stance encompasses a good looking rear configuration, suitable tail lights, good arches to form genuine purpose "genuine" purpose.

I would rate the following:

Uracco:

Alfa 159 TI:

Lotus Esprit GT3:

M3 CSL:

Of course, there are many many more....what's your take on a good stance? Pictures to illustrate, please...

The Countach betters the modern equivalent Bull in my eyes. The Aventador has nothing on it IMHO.

Agreed, I've never looked at the backend of a countach and not thought "wow"

This. The LP700 looks like it's having a frown from the rear!

Always had a great stance. Shame the modern Pug doesn't

As modern saloons go, I think this has a purposeful rear.

This one's a bad one for me. The F Cali looks awkward - maybe I'll get used to it but, it's just awkward. IMO

I'd disagree on the Elise S1. Really like them, but I don't feel the stance is very purposeful...
