This guy made it look very easy and was getting £66K a year tax free at one point.
Once again in these cases,no mention of getting any of the money back. Is it not as simple as saying he conned us for £400K, he now owes the Government £400K and that they will take what he has to the value ?
Someone bump this story in a couple of years when he is free and the the tax payer gets to fight him in the court again when he claims a breach of human rights to deport him.

On another point, if anyone is getting £66K a year in benefits, that needs checking on very reguarly. And no I don't care much that most will be genuine. If you are getting that much it should come with at least some strings attached, regular checks being one.

The simple answer is yes, it is that easy . . . . . made even easier by the public sector, if you have a fairly high score when playing diversity bingo

The UK is set up for benefit fraud. The unintended consequence of our feather bed lifestyle for individuals entering the UK who immediately claim benefits is typical of what is wrong with the UK now.

Beveridge intended the scheme to be an insurance scheme. You pay in you can claim insurance. You do not pay in tough luck look elsewhere.

What we have is an absolutely tailor made system for fraudulent abuse.

The IR have exactly the same problem with the Tax Credit system. Tailor made for abuse.

None of our politicians will even discuss this rationally, let alone actually address the problem.

So on it will go until eventually the abuse drags the country down.

I suspect the shock waves from the European problem may concentrate a few political minds. I certainly hope so.

There has never been a better time for criminals to thrive in the UK.

Whilst the benefits scroungers all get a 5% rise and the poor workers face redundancy, short time and penury whilst working as hard as they can.

That is the UK currently. I hope we can change it.

Not really, not sure why this guy scamming the country would make anyone want to vote for a bunch of nationalists with an overtly socialist bent.

Certainly wouldn't drive you to vote for anyone else?

He gets put forward for deportation at the end of his sentence.

But he has ooman rights, as do his family.

Not sure what you're asking me there, but no, there's nothing that could happen in the UK that would make me vote BNP.

I dislike socialism, adding nationalism to socialism doesn't make it any more appealing smile

Just send them all back in teh clothes they have on. sell everything else.

No point in even jailing him it just costs us more money.

A lot of people dont seem to realise the BNP is very left of centre in economic policy, not that it matters they will never achieve anything (I hope !)

Indeed, most think they are right wingers. But then I wouldnt expect their voting base to understand the finer points of their political agenda other than "darkies out".

Because our system is so daft that the time in prison will count as a reason for him to stay in the UK. He will NOT be deported.

He will be out in a few years living on benefits again in the bosom of his family who will all remain on full benefits throughout his imprisonment keeping his house warm until he returns from his holiday at the taxpayers expense.

The training he will receive in Prison from the inmates will sharpen his fiddling ability to razor sharpness. Off he will go again, adopting a new personality on the way.

Nothing is more certain.

He will live his life and retire on Benefits in the UK.

Who is the mug? The taxpayer.

We all know this is the way it is, Some of us admit the fact.

What would happen, if I was PM and I sent a couple of SAS types to pick this guy and his family up in the middle of the night, whisk them away to the nearest air field and onto a waiting plane to dump them back in the country they came from?

Come here, take the Michael, get caught, get booted out. Tough st, shouldn't of been such a douche bag.

As stated, we fund this sh*t through NI contributions.

It seems to me to be a matter of minutes to draft a law saying no-one gets benefits without having an NI number.

What am I missing here?

True, but I was more thinking how it took so long and how they were giving him so much. Sorry, but I just feel the whole country has been bent over and had to take it like.
I'm actually proud that this country does stand up for people and we take in those who are fleeing geuine cases of persecution, but the tipping point has long since been passed and this case highlights it like no other.
How can it just be so easy to turn up and claim you are from another country and say the Taliban killed your family, to be given so much money in one go. If anyone is getting £66K there should be an alarm going off some place, it should be checked.

This guy was then given citizenship ! Sorry, but that should be something of a HUGE privalige to anyone coming to this country whatever the reason. He was getting huge sums of money and someone thought to keep him here ?
I try not to get pissed at such a Daily Mail type story raging against benefits, but no more. The total failure to actually have any action is the worst bit. He gets caught and goes to prison. Those who are also in on the scam don't and no mention of the missing £400k. It should be very simple to say you owe us £400k, pay it back now or we take everything from those connected with this scam.
I'll bet next to no money gets recovered, the rest of the family will be on benefits and when he gets out, there will be no deportation and he'll just be costing the tax payer even more.
He should serve his time here despite the costs, but recovering the money should be top of the list, and when he gets out, straight on a plane out of here to meet the rest of the family that should be deported ASAP.
Sorry, I did have faith in the country to help out the genuine asylum seekers, but no more.

Why are we paying £66k tax free in benefits to anyone?
