morons caught on camera by PHers

a slightly enigmatic title i know. i bought a helmet cam recently because i am fed up of nearly being wiped out by all of the idiots on the roads. Last year i was wiped out by an idiot pulling onto a roundabout without checking. he had the audacity to drive off. when the police caught up with him he denied it happened. fortunately i had witnesses who picked me up off the road and he got 6 points and £500 in fines/court costs.

today was the first day i used it and as if on cue - here's one i caught on cam...

idiot in the white car

apologies for the poor quality - it's a cheap cam from a group on offer. this guy pulls out from the left lane to the middle on a roundabout without indicating or checking it's clear and when i look into his window he seems to not have a clue why i'm tooting at him.

thankfully i wasn't going any faster, although i have developed a bit of a sixth sense relating to these idiots.

anyway, hopefully all you PHers who have cams and have caught idiots can post up on this thread!!

I think the biker needs to lighten up a bit.
The white car was moving at pretty much the same speed as everyone else, the bike was trying to make up time
The biker could easily have mover over or held back but chose to carry on and show indignation

A case of this is going to be on headcam, lets see if it can be milked

These gyratory systems seemed to work much better before they were laned as you couldnt claim anyone was in the wrong lane. Much more courtesy and give an take.

For the two posters above, have a look at the white car again. Straight across the lane that the bike (rightly) was going in.I'm not a biker fan, but that was crap driving.

Rubbish, you could have easily moved lanes in time without making a big deal out of that, and personally if I was on the bike ( the fastest moving vehicle there ) I would have been on in the right hand lane giving everyone around me plenty of space .

Not sure who is worse you or him.

You can easily see he's changing lanes by the way his car is pointing, he didn't use his indicator which isn't ideal but it happens all the time.

Why get so upset and hit the horn you were miles away from him you made something out of nothing.

Remember you need to share to road with everyone and all standards of driving, it will never change no matter now much you use the horn

Keep developing that sixth sense - alternatively regard every other road user as a complete idiot and expect them to do stupid things. You'll find you are ready for them then

this wont go as planned.

although the guy in the cars driving is less than perfect. you are going a lot faster than the traffic on the roundabout on a bike, and you know people don't see bike's as easily.

the poor guy probably did look in his mirror and it was clear.

That was pretty poor driving, even if he could see the bike and thought he could have completed the move safely, by not indicating he remains a totally unknown quantity to the biker. The deer in the headlights, gormless facial expression he conveys when he looks at the biker suggests he had no idea there was a biker there at all.

Whether the biker got angry or not, is not the point. It was utterly st driving.It's the same st driving you see every day and if the biker was as oblivious as the driver was there, you have an accident. End of.
To see people on a car driving enthusiasts website think that is O.K. is fking worrying.

It was obvious the car (and the other cars) was going to gradually slip from one lane to the next due to road markings
In the end the biker gave himself space which he could have done in the first place.
Hope the sixth sense continues to develop rather than mr angry biker I'm right I had right of way etc

Exactly, the car's in the lane before the bike, so he didn't "move over" on the bike.

Sorry, headcambiker, but you need some anger management.

Poor show by the drive for not signalling though.

That was the bottom of the M69 near Leicester Forest East Services. You were clearly hooning it off the motorway in the fast lane like everyone else does there. That car wasn't going fast but you were and the car behind him was following the same path as had the car in front (silver corsa) which dived back into the inner lane when he saw the traffic in front of him.

Biker going to fast as usual.
