Value-wise, what do we think of this?

Found this for a mate locally, bit more than what he wants to spend, but it looks utterly mint, is the same milage as my 2009 58-plated car, and has a few tasty extras like the Chili Pack, BOOST, Multi-function 3-spoke wheel and Panoramic Glass Roof.

Previous car was a standard all-one-colour 05 54-plate Cooper with 54k on the clock, Chili pack, Chromed Mirrors, ASC-T, BOOST and Alarm and was bought for £6,800 a month or two ago. I'm thinking it's decent in comparison with the previous car and he doesn't want to travel to get one, fully aware that something similar that I'd found in Shrewsbury was £1k cheaper...

Especially one missing the Supercharger and associated bodywork addenda...

The milage is exceptionally low though, but most examples around here from main dealers seem to be similar, worried as he's thinking of waiting until going home for Xmas, examples in and around Surrey seem even pricier!

He came very close to buying this last week, but it was snapped up by someone else...

Really?! At a main dealer? Only found about 3 R56 Coopers Nationwide for under £7,500... Though I did find a grey, smart looking, decent milage 55-plate Cooper S Cabrio at Chandlers Worthing...

He can't be getting a Cooper S though, for insurance reasons and the fact that I've still got severe bruising on my leg from the demise of the last one almost a month and a half later...

Piece of mind from things like the checks, definitely has full service history etc, the manufacturers warranty, roadside assist etc. Everything comes as one in a package.

I wouldn't rely on a Mini dealership to have a guarantee of a FMSH, I bought from a dealer in Shrewsbury and it needed a few bits doing such as the brown coolant that was apparently changed on the day before I bought it.... I did query the use of brown as a colour of coolant

Also check the tyre tread, the brake pad levels etc as although they claim that any advisories on an MOT are changed under the cherished scheme, they don't do it. I guess it's because their main customers are either metrosexual men or daft women who know sod all about what they're buying

I recently PX'd my cooper s R56 in silver for another car and the 7K mark was around what I got for 55K miles. Vehicle included GPS, this was at main dealer. There was nothing wrong with the car other than a good deal came on a new one and needed more space and doors.

Recently I have been told that the vehicle has been passed to the trade and that they made a little loss on the sale price so it shall probably sell for 6K. If you are interested in the location of where to find the dealer PM me. I could not guarantee that when the trade might sell it.

Thanks for that, sounds like they don't have it anymore, they wouldn't tell me where its gone though just to look on Autotrader...
