On car advertising or commercial shoot hire

Are there any recommended companies for doing this? Just thinking of creative ways to pay ever increasing costs of motoring. I was looking at either having the car be hired to appear in tv/adverts/commercial shoots or be covered in advertising.
It was all the rage a few years ago but I haven't seen many cars with it on recently.
Has anyone used Star car hire or registered their car with them? Did you get any work at all? I did find another one but they wanted money up front. With Star car hire you can register free. There didn't seem to be that many cars on there so either it is an unpopular thing to do or cars are sourced from elsewhere.
Neither car is pristine so I don't know how interested they'd be in them either!

I looked into doing the car advertising thing a few years back. The thing that put me off though was that a lot of companies wanted to see the mileage you were doing to see if the car was being driven enough and they all expected your car to be parked on a busy main road when parked up on a night or whilst at work. All of which is monitored by a sat nav tracker thing fitted to your car.
You can earn around a £1000 a month though if you do a lot of mileage and are willing to always park it on main roads, which is why a lot of taxi drivers do it as it makes a lot of sense to them.

Just looking at www.comm-motion.com because of this thread - I'd love to have that done - I think my little toaster would look quite quirky with an advertising wrap on it

Depends on what they're advertising. If it is kebabs then you might be quite popular

Just read their small print - you are required to make your vehicle available for 5 years!! And you have to return to the wrap centre once a month to have the wrap inspected. I can see it would barely pay fuel money if you have to keep going back and forth to a wrap centre which is too far away.
