After finally getting the misses to grant me a set of clear lights im not so sure they will look that good on a silver car.
Can anyone post a picture please of them fitted to a silver car.
Also as there expensive i would be refitting the old ones back on the car when the time comes to sell i know you have to get the dash flashed would i have to get it flashed back again when refitting?
Or would be easier just to let them go with the car?
I have spoke to Stratstone about fitting these lights and they say it would de value the car and they want originality.
Not sure maybe just wait till i can afford a S
Thanks

That sounds absolutely ridiculous to me!! They are an upgrade, it's not some aftermarket tat! A very few people might not want them, but you're hardly limiting your market by making the car look more modern. If anything, it'll be considered more desirable IMHO. It would have saved me £1200 if I'd found car that had them fitted!!The reflash is to tell the car there aren't bulbs anymore - there are LEDs instead. If the flash isn't done, you'll get a bulb out warning.

The red taillights are LEDs as well. The reflash was only needed early on when the DBS taillights were first being put on Vantages and DB9s. Newer clear tail lamps do not need a reflash. FWIW, I don't agree with the "clear lights look so much better" thing. I think they both look great generally, but with certain car colors it can make a real difference. My car is Onyx Black with an Obsidian Black interior, with red calipers and red stitching. I think the red lights go perfectly with this combination (especially since the rear reflectors are always still red). Also, and surely unfairly, clear lights make me think of all the Civics/Sentras/Eclipses/etc. with drain pipe exhausts and huge wings that have aftermarket clear rear lights as part of "the look." However, on a red car, I do think the clear lights look better since the red ones hide the design of the lights.
