Mine's been on the back of a lorry 4 times since I've had it, but I don't think the S itself can be blamed for any of those...

Once when I drove into someone who pulled out in front of me on a roundabout

Once when the (aftermarket) immobiliser packed up

Two journeys when someone drove into the back of me

...I just thought I should stand up for the reputation of the S!

I will now find some wood to touch!

Touches wood, never happened to me. Only let me down the once and that was in the garage at home, so no problem .

Tell a lie, memory coming back . I've had the rotor arm shatter on a blat whilst on b-road with lots of blind bends and solid white lines , but the nice RAC man replace it in situ .

Is that a boot rack on your 'S'?

Where did you get it from and how does it fit?

Not seen one before...

Cheers

never needed to get the S on the back of a low loader. Did have the AA out once to fix a problem with a coil wire that burnt out but temporary fix was possible at the road side. I did have to get the Chim low loaded to APM when the gearbox linkeage fell apart. Had a row with the AA when they said as the vehicle was at my home I couldnt get it "recovered" to a garage. So I asked what would happen if I push it off my drive and down to the road. They said the maximum distance they can take it is 8 miles Cost me £130 to get it to the garage, when the repairs cost less.... Needless to say the AA wont be getting my business at renewal.

Only been on a low loader on the way back from my first TVRCC meeting, when one of the water hoses split. Not a good start, but it's not let me down in the 18 months since.

Nice to see I'm not the only one..It doesn't bother me in the slightest that Castle TVR have had the car more than me at the moment as nothing can stop you cherishing the little beauties. Hopefully once the slave cylinder has been replaced I can look forward to a great summer with the roof down.
Woody, the boot rack was fitted as an option when the car was first bought, so I don't know how/if you can get hold of one. I haven't got the car at the moment to check but I think it just suctions on to the boot.

Looks identical to ours - which is screw fixed through the boot lid. Don't think suction pads would hold it on when loaded (or is that just on the V8S )

Doddze: nice to see another S in the best colour combination!
