XJS Carpet Replacement

Hi,

I couple of questions if I may...

I want to replace the carpet in my 1994 XJS Coupe. I have had a look on the net and found a company called Aldridge Trimming in Wolverhampton who are able to supply. Does anybody have experience of this company or indeed another who can supply a carpet set?

Carpets are listed on their website as pre-HE XJ-S and XJ-S HE, my car is a facelift, would this be exactly the same fitment as an HE? I'm wondering if there may be differences because of the electric seats.

Thanks Mikele, I had a feeling it was going to be different.

I've got the interior stripped ready for the new carpet, I should have a sample from Aldridge tomorrow to match the colour. Maybe if I take the car to them they can make a set and also use it as a template for other cars. I'll see what they say.

Hi Burt124,

I can recommend the trimmers I used for my XJS hatch-back conversion; G B Classic Trim in Nuneaton ( www.gbclassictrim.com ).

They had the ex-Jaguar stock of Rattan Beige carpet trim for mine and did a perfect job (see Jaguar Enthusiast March 2011 or the Lynx Eventer thread).

Thanks for your reply.

I spoke to Aldridge again and apparently they do produce carpet sets for the facelift models.

I am awaiting a carpet sample to match the colour, should be here today; and will then order it subject to it definitely being the correct fitment.

I'll let you know if it is, and if not I'll try the company you have suggested.
