Megane Advert?
Discussion
Just watched that Megane advert. The one where your man drives her home but declines and invitation into her residence, for what one can only assume is not suitable pre watershed.
The star of the add was a lovely grey RS 3door, but now its a nasty eco diseasel 5 door. towards the end when you get the drivers mug shot, it's still the RS seats and a yellow seat belt.
Any one know why?
thanks VR

They probably needed to advertise the plain Jane car but did not want to re-shoot the whole advert, and they could not be bothered to CGI the interior as well as the exterior, hence yellow seat belts. Most punters are probably oblivious to that anyway.
Most people probably aren't paying attention to the seatbelts either in that ad

Yup, so they (appear to have) CGIed a standard car in place of the RS250 but the tech people appear to not have bothered with the interior shots. But as said before, look at the lady during that bit rather than the bloke's seatbelt colour.VR
As I opined earlier (and it must be said, I am merely guessing as to their motives), I suspect the marketing people needed to advertise the standard Megane, but rather than create a new 'story' and re-shoot everything, they found it easier/ cheaper to CGI over the RS into a standard car.
Plus I'm sure if you asked a marketeer, they would harp on about 'continuity' and other marketing buzz words.
