Ok - I have a small hatchback - but it's enough room for a tent, a couple of foldaway chairs, lots of coolbags for beer and wine and then storage for other camping pariphenalia.

So - a question to the sports car owners...

Where's your kit going?!

in the boot same as last year...

I have just done the le mans weekend with all the camping gear and then more bags for another week on holiday after le mans for 2 of us. No problem at all.

Last year my boot contained....

1 tent
1 sleeping bag
1 sleeping mat
1 pair shorts
1 pair pants
1 t-shirt
1 x 24 case of beer
1 x toothbrush

how much stuff is there to take for 2 days!

I can fit tent, airbed, sleeping bag, camping stove, clothes, basic toolkit and electric coolbox in the griff no problem, even with the roof off. In fact last year we (my ex and I) went for a fortnight camping in France and only put the roof on at nights and to make more space to bring champagne and wine home.

Just have to be organised.

No back seats in the 'cento, so it shouldn't be too tricky..

Don't think I'll have much rear visibilty tho!

What do you need to take?

I've got a new tent all rolled up....no way I'm opening that till I get there !!!

Sleeping bag, duvet, pillows and bed mat - a few clothes - camping gaz stove and saucepan for cup of tea in the morning.
A chamber pot.

That's it

I bet my boot is nearly as big as dontlifts' lorry, I could almost sleep in it instead of the tent.

"Is all that for personal consumption Sir?"

Btw, how big a tent are people using???

I've got either a two man job (crawl out affair) or a bigger four man doofer, with living room type thingy.. now, as long as the big one fits in the 'cento, that's what I want to take.. is it too big?

Cheers,

Slinky

Well if you see us next to the battlebug struggling with the four man tent that we've never put up before you have two options..

1.) Fall over laughing
2.) Offer a helping hand..

I have a feeling that the first option is the more likely.. I'll probably be laughing at my own tent rigging ineptitude

Boot: two sleeping bags, two fold-away chairs, two sleeping mats & travel pillows and two bags for washkit/clothes.

Rear parcel shelf: Soft-top (hopefully it will be sunny ).

Passenger footwell: Mini-cooler for drinks/ice.

Boot-rack: Tent and fold-away table.

BBQ/food will be bought in Stratford, no room for it on the run to Pistonfest .

We are taking our new tent round to a mates house this week to have a trial run (we have no grass). We are also taking the video camera so we can do a comedy video of puttng the tent up... then run it to the Benny Hill music at double speed!

Air bed, duvet, pillow, four person tent (so it says?) - but its best for two (any of the yourboot girls want to cure my depression?), small fridge, supplies, storm kettle, fold away chairs (x2? someone might want to sit down to talk to me I guess?) err basically all the lemans gear, clothes.

Should fit fine. See you all there...

I live all but about 13 miles away from Stratford so I could do two runs...

My sleeping bad is huge, but it should fit (just) into that cheese shaped luggage compartment at the front of my 911. I'll look into getting/borrowing a tent, otherwise I could sleep in the car- ducking out for showers etc etc....
