Ok getting a retrim , black leather dash top, red leather lower dash, centre console, seats in black ,bolsters in black, door cards black top red leather lower door. Carpet is is crimson , car is starmist crimson phew

So at the moment red carpet on doors but wondering if black leather on door cards will look a bit more modern ?

I've never liked the carpet on the doors, I'd go leather. [though I went alcantara]

I never liked the carpet on the doors but at the same time I think leather feels too cold on the Chim. Alcantara looks great IMHO and should be cheaper than leather as well.

I had leather on the doors of my Chim, I always thought it looked and felt so much nicer than carpet.

I'm going to go against the grain, carpet looks superb on the doors IMO.

When I spec'd my Griff I decided on carpet because I thought the leather would be sweaty against my arms in the summer when in short sleeved shirts. Carpet on the other hand is not.

Also against the masses! I like the carpet in mine, but I think carpet only works for DARK colours as light coloured carpet does show the dirt. Leather is too cold and once scratched easily looks tatty boxedin

I voted for other alc stuff that I can't spell, as it happens I also decided yesterday to go to a local trimmers as I have been thinking of getting the inside refreshed, and ended up going for red leather centre flat panel with black for the rest.

Also gone for red leather center panels on the seats with the rest black, and the pads on the centre consule wil also be red, loking forward to when she comes back all spruced up.

why not do a combination of either...carpet and leather? Or leather and alcantara?

Thanks, I owe it to my wife - she chose the colours and said the carpet, called butterscotch, was the same colour as a teddy bear. Hence the car became known as Grizzly biggrin
