Apologies for yet another thread but i thought i'd post up as i've now finally gone an ordered a new bike!! biggrin

As some of you may know, I've been deliberating over a new road bike for the last few months. I've looked at Cannondale, Focus, Trek and the latest was that i'd probably wait until January to look over the 2012 Cube bikes.

However, yesterday I spotted a 2011 Cannondale Synapse Carbon 105 on sale and still in my size (as mentioned in my other thread) From my previous research and trying different Dale bikes I knew the Synapse was the type of bike I wanted, i did a bit more research on the bike and decided this morning to take the plunge and I ordered the bike!

Absolutely buzzing!! Really can't wait for it to arrive! biggrin

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all those who've given me advice on different bikes, terminology and fitment.

Cheers! thumbup

I'm hopeful it will be with me early next week so pics to follow when it arrives definitely biggrin

SR7492 - Which version? - I did look at the Alum version as well - 2012 comes in at £1099.99 whilst the Carbon is £1999.99 but i've picked the 2011 Carbon bike up for £1500! At that price i couldnt say no. woohoo

Good saving mate!

I'm after the Aluminuim; it's going to be my first roadie so Carbon is the next step up after this.

When I wanted a road bike just for training runs I popped over the channel and went into the nearest Decathlon and paid almost exactly half the UK price. Ok, had to wait five days for it to arrive in my size, but was on hols for a week so no problems.

My off road machine is a Specialized that cost a bomb, wish I'd been told about Decathlon when I bought that.

Just a thought to anyone thinking of splurging megabucks !
