I've noticed a distinct drop in spelling ability.

I think you meant 'deficit'.

No effect, except for a quicker journey to work.

I have the sound of a helicopter outside my office, and likely will have for much of the day.

Annoying.

One of the groups most strongly affected has been the BBC. As the media arm of the Labour Party they have obviously put a lot of effort in covering the strike with outside broadcasts but the underwhelming reality of it has led to some very dull broadcasting.

I got stuck in traffic because a herd of strikers decided to walk very slowly across a major junction...and then back again....

So I put the lights and sirens on and 'dispersed' them.

But that's it.

My wife works in a school, and has gone in today even though the school is closed.

She still gets paid, doesn't have to do anything and can text me every 5 minutes.

Apart from that, no difference.

Snap. Plus with all the workshy commie tossers gone shopping my day is really peaceful here as they aren't logging any helpdesk calls for me to go fix.

My kids headmaster said:
As you are aware, Mrs X is off sick at the moment and is therefore unable to strike.

Therefore we are able to get a supply teacher in, so your child should come to school tomorrow as normal
My daughter was not impressed

Listening to radio4 the strike has stopped the ferries running to the shetlands from Aberdeen

I work in Aberdeen and have just seen a seagul fly backwards at a vast rate of knots

http://www.northlinkferries.co.uk/OpsNews.html

it also appears to of stopped the ferries from running not because of industrial action

could someone please e-mail them and complain

There's a burrito peddlar by Holborn tube that serves up some filthy burritos that are the size and weight of a housebrick.
Between me and it are all the protesters.....what do they say about getting between a hippo and water?
Plus it's bloody noisy outside, seems to be the norm these days.....
