Which Alternator?

I am looking at replacing my alternator as mine is making some strange noises But which one?
I know it's From a Landrover 3.9 V8 petrol But are they 100 or 120 Amps? I have seen both but mainly 100amps.
This one was mentioned on PH as a direct replacement (120amp) and does look tempting as it is brand new not a recon and has a 24mnth warranty.

I just removed mine from my 4.2 and it is 100 amp will need a new one too due to a bend shaft no idea how that happened but i was like that when i bought it.

If you use the car a lot at night during the winter, on short journeys, park outside, or have a powerful ICE system, I would suggest the 120A alternator would be a good idea. If you have a summer weekend daytime toy that's garaged, I would go for the £35 100A option.

And change the main fuse for a 125Amp one if you go the 125Amp route.

I was worried about the correct fitment as much as the amps. I do already have the uprated fuse fitted.
I've never really had any trouble with the charging of the present alternator and do have pretty serious Ice but still listen to the exhaust more lol Also the car doesn't come out to play much during the week.
I chose the cheepy one in the end. Hopefully it's the right fit and will be as reliable as the old one.

Where can i find it for £35? I need one as the shaft on mine is bent????

It came very quickly too. 2 days I think it was.
Still not fitted it yet. Wayy too cold for me out there now lol

Just bought that one as well but i doubt mine will be fitted until April least of my worries just now. The can of worms has been opened lol
