Hi all

I would be really grateful if anybody with an up to date GG or Cap could give me a valuation of the following (its an ex-lease coming up at auction tomorrow) -

2008 08 BMW 118D EDITION ES 5DR 72k

I have an Aug GG which values it at 9850 less 2000 for the mileage and just wondered if it has taken much of a hit since then.

Any other opinions on the car welcome - I need a solid economical car for doing around 25k a year.

thanks in advance.

Buying that car at auction i would be bidding up to around the below average price.

Make sure you know what the buyers fees are before you bid!

Thanks for the advice. I have been going to a few auction in the last week (I used to work part time for a trader when I was at Uni so I know my way about although that was nearly 18 years ago!) and anything clean with decent miles seems to be doing well. Hopefully this will be cheap enough.

You are right about the buyers fees yikes circa £400!

Just to update - bought the car for £6600 - arrived at the auction 11am, bought and paid for by 11.30. I am really happy - its got a full BMWSH and is fantastic condition and feels really tight despite the mileage.

Circumstances have meant that I have had to do 40k miles in the last 16 months in a VW Fox which has been pretty painful, so this is a welcome change.

Thanks again for the price info.

Did the £6600 include the buyers fee?
