So, I don't get to use my car much, really just weekends now the evenings are so dark during the week.

So, a couple of weekends ago I took it for a long drive to Swanage and around the coast for the day. What a fantastic day we had. It was perfect. It was warm, the roads were dry and quiet, no queue for the ferry, a perfect lunch at a really nice restaurant on the beach, followed by chasing the steam train at high speed across the twisty country lanes, racing it to the next bridge! We eventually met it at Corfe Castle and managed to get out the car and snap a photo of it coming into the station.

This is what this car's all about for me. Not thrashing it around a track, but cruising quiet country lanes, stopping at the sea front and generally enjoying the beautiful south coast, without the tourists in the way, with the roof down listening to that straight 6! Heaven. The ultimate petrol head day out?

The first lot of photos are of the car, just uploading the photos of the beach and steam train....

One for the "Us and our Zeds" thread! Me on the Sandbanks ferry.

Trying out the new iPhone holder and iPod interface kit. Works perfectly.

Looks like you chose i nice day to do it, think I might try and do something similar if I can rope the gf into it! didn't enjoy getting the car squeezed on the ferry last time I went over though!!

Where abouts is the steam railway? the way to lulworth cove is also a great route to try smile

The perfect day for it! Had the roof off until night fell!

This was my route... http://g.co/maps/unr27

The train station I stopped off at was at marker "C" Zoom right in and you'll see Swanage Railway. It's a very tight little road with a private car park for train staff. It's double yellows on the road, but I was only there for a few minutes so just pulled into the road and jumped out the car and left it there. I'm sure in the summer time it would be rammed though! You'd have to park at the castle.

Wanted to do Lulworth, but ran out of daylight!
