Focus TDCi Starting problems

Today my 53 plate focus finally let me down, It started at 6am this morning with a bit of coaxing, I drove it 10 miles and to work and parked it up. When i returned back to the car at 5 o'clock it turned over but would not fire. After a bit of poking I finally called the AA, The chap came and poked some more but could not find anything, It wouldnt even go with easystart!! He plugged it into the laptop and said that whilst cranking it had good fuel pressure but then as soon as it stopped cranking the pressure dropped. I have a set of new glow plugs that I will try but apart from that I'm stumped!! Its done 140K Miles. Any help, advice or ideas gratefully received.
