We had to give the police some items when they got int the Griff and never got them back, so hopefully you have more success with a complete car.
At least its in one piece so great news. Assume there are no people injured so I know its a pain but there is a bright side.

Best thing is not to allow the police to take it in the first place.... It's your car, you should be able to just drive it home...

Police won't get any usable evidence anyway..... Even if they find finger prints, DNA, photo, a written confession and name address and DOB of the thief.. They still won't do anything about it....

Sorry to hear that. I assume it was garaged, how did they start it, I would have hoped the immobiliser would prevent that.

Yes..... Get the car back into your possession..... It puts you in a stronger position, and those bds at the recovery company can't start cherry picking parts off it...... I can assure you..... Secure storage is anything but...

I speak from experience of having a car "picked" of parts when it was supposed to be untouched and in secure storagerolleyes

Oh no that is terrible news Kieran.

I really you hope you get this all sorted soon. At least you have your Griff in one piece.

With regards to the CAT D status like others have said this would only be recorded against the car if it was deemed as a write off by an insurance company and you received a pay out for the cars value.

All the best mate.
