What gets done on an Inspection 1 Service?

I know my will be due an Oil Service and an Inspection 1 in the near future as I am new to the BMW Scene could someone advise me what is carried out in an Inspection 1 and an Inspection 2 to help me understand what the techs are doing to my car.

Thanks for that be interested in UK prices thing I am finding is that the majority of people on the M5 Board are in the USA is there an English forum of a similar set up?

You can negotiate with BMW on the Inspection 1 for an oldie like the E39 M5. I just paid £390+VAT at BMW Chiswick one month ago. Not the cheapest in the country, but considering they are a London stealer and only 5 mins away, it seemed reasonable.
