Had dinner the other night with the head of marketing for the 13 UNESCO World Heritage Cities in Spain. The debate was about what does the average Brit know about Spain other than the Costas

So - without looking it up - how many Cities, Rivers and mountain ranges can you name?

Having enjoyed a brilliant bike trip to Northern Spain; A Coruna, Lugo, Oviedo, Burgos, Zaragoza, Bilbao, Santander, Picos de Europe.

It was great. Hardly a Brit to be seen and no 'English Breakfasts' for sale or, come to think of it, English menus. Ordering was a bit of a gamble although we often sustained ourselves on tapas.
