www.yourboot.co.uk - Goes LIVE!

And is ready for Pistonfest 2004.

You are probably wondering what it's all about?

You can now browse the site at your leisure and hopefully any questions you may have will be answered. Take a look at our FAQ, located at the bottom of the "Policies" page. However, you can always drop us an email if you have any more queries. We are always happy to help.

As one of the first people to hopefully use the site, we're giving the first 100 users who post a job up to £10.00 towards the driver costs for the job! Simply have one of your jobs fully completed and email our customer services! We'll issue you a cheque for the same amount that you have paid the driver! (Up to a maximum of £10.00 per user) - It's that easy, and there are no strings attached.

Still want more? Well, if you take a job the same goes for you too! We'll match whatever you are getting paid for the job up to £10.00 too!!

Be the first to take advantage of this great opening promotion!

If you still want more, come and visit us at the www.yourboot.co.uk stand at www.pistonfest.com where we will be giving away freebies including microlite flights, vouchers and other great gifts!

We looking forward to providing you with the UK's most exciting new online service - www.yourboot.co.uk

Finally I'd like to thank everyone at www.pistonheads.com for all the support and help behind the scenes. All the services I've needed have been provided by fellow PH's - well done, and THANKS!! Without PH, this site and the services within it would not exist.

Normal service resumed.

Like all types of business - it's the disasters that teach you the most!

I class myself as being a little more learned today.

Thanks,

JC

Brilliant Idea.

If anyone needs fast transport for something look for me

Have you seen Transporter? Black 7 Series is so old hat, Black C900's are the weapon of choice

I found the text was too small to read easily....with the bright colours.
Just trying to help for the final adjustments

All comments are appreciated - it's good to get the feedback.

It all goes towards making the next release better!

Looks like I'm going to owe a lot of beers at PF!

Keep them coming - good or bad.

Cheers,

JC

What are the legal implications?

Is there an insurance need here - goods transport - business use?

Hi Gemini,

Have a look at the homepage www.yourboot.co.uk and select the FAQ on the homepage of the site, for a brief summary of this issue and some others you may find of intrest.

I can only speak for myself on my own insurance policy, however my insurance provider has said and I quote "as long as it is part of a normal journey then your journey is still social/Domestic/pleasure, and as long as you are not doing it as a business then there would be no implications."

It's very similar to another legal concept - car sharing, in which the passenger pays towards your costs for the journey. As someone said to me recently - it's car sharing for parcels!

To be sure, check with your own insurance provider if you think it may invalidate you insurance if you decide to tell them you are carrying a package not belonging to you....
