CRAP DVLA Website! Lost my 12 plate :(
Discussion
I called him a moody b
d elsewhere a couple of minutes ago, I was joking but now I shall reconsider
Mate of mine had this a few years ago, would have had the plate that spelt his name perfectly with only a 4 for an A, the rest spot on - instead he's had to have a 9. Still looks decent, but really not the same, and it turns out the version with the 4 is now worth about three times as much.
That was with the phone line system back in the day, though - it's not exactly a problem unique to websites, when there's huge demand you're all going to have the same trouble trying to access it!

Yeah the site was a joke this morning. It was 8.45 before I finally logged in. Plate I wanted was being purchased by someone else, but since the site kept crashing I persisted. After twice being purchased by someone else AND actually being advertised on RT for £1495 I eventually picked it up for £405. It is chaos though, you really need a bit of luck on your side.

I have just had an email from Reg Transfers - they bought this plate! I can have it but have to pay around 3 times the value

How the eck do they do it
Hmmmm decisions decisions.................
When you're looking at a plate on the DVLA website it gives you a unique url to that plate. As opposed to going through the whole site when they go up for sale just paste the url into your web browser. Hit buy it now. Job done.

Well maybe offer them a figure in between? they might sell for less than advertised for a quick mornings profit. I think they must have a fat broadband pipeline to get good connection early. I struggled until nearly 8.50am and have freinds who struggled also.
They'll have some serious broadband and an office full of people.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
