Replacement Mats - colour question
Discussion
Hi all,
I dare say this sort of topic has come up before but i'm not having a lot of luck with the search facility.
I'm after replacements mats for my Griff, but having looked at a number of sites (e.g. http://www.yourcarparts.co.uk/product/TVR-Griffith... i'm concerned that the colours available are not the same as the colour mats i have now.
My interior is 'Prussian ble' (example here: http://www.sargentsofsussex.co.uk/gallery/25259101... and the mats are a deep navy blue. However, having taken a printout of the navy on the above site and compared it with the mats, it doesn't seem to be the same.
I think it could look daft with the mats being one colour and the adjoining material (the kick board at the bottom of the passenger seat for example) being another.
Can anyone recommend a place that do mats in original colours? Or any other options?
Cheers!

D & C Trim Blackpool. They will know every colour there is.
The only thing to consider here is that although the chaps at D&C will have the right colours, you need to take into account the fading of the carpet over time. I've just had some navy blue mats made up (and very good they are too), but they're a much deeper colour now than the footwell carpet that used to be navy until attacked by the sunshine over 15 years. So, in short, you buy a set of mats and end up completely recarpeting it!

Not wishing to hijack the thread but how much does it cost to recarpet a Griff once you have accepted that the job has to be done?
(I'm on the verge but scared about the price)
I am part way through, have re-underlayed, and have now cut all the carpets into shape.(I'm on the verge but scared about the price)
Just have to get them edged and fit em back in.
Hi,
I bought a set for my Griffith from a UK supplier, but the colour was well off, in fairness they did issue a full refund...
I then sourced a set for €380 from:
Lakewell Classic Car Interiors
Belgium
Web: www.lakewell.com
Email: info@lakewell.com
...and fitted them myself using lots of heat and sound proofing matting from Demon Tweaks, the quality was great and 'their' colour matched perfectly!
I also used twice as much spray glue as I thought I would.
In hindsight I would of totally stripped, cleaned/prepared the car, fitted the sound proofing matting myself and then found a proper company to fit the carpets!
Do it myself was ok-ish but it is in now way as easy as it looks, well worth the effort though...
Regards
Steve

Nice supplier Lakewell, I had sanples of carpet and hood material from them just prior to buying a new hood and targa cover. I eventually went to D&C Trim in Blackpool and had them supply the Hood & Cover, they were nearly £100 cheaper than Lakewell and guess what, when speaking with Chris he commented that they supply Lakewell? I did not ask about carpets but would not be surprised if they supplied them also. I would go back to D&C any time, the hood they supplied was superb, perfect fit, great quality and came with new velcro and seals, all for £285. They will also make up carpet sets, and if you send them a sample will match. They made up a new gearstick and handbrake gaiter from a sample of material I sent, all custom made and posted out to me for £30, can't knock it.
