E92 after market Exhaust opinions
Discussion
Eisenmann Sport provides a subtle sound enhancement without being 'lairy'.
Whatever you decide to do, check with your Insurer first since many aren't even willing to quote where this kind of modification has been fitted. You should be OK if you phone around but it's best to go in with eyes open!

Love the noise of it at full tilt, wouldn't mind turning the volume up a little and also it not sounding like a 318 at low revs.
Has anyone tried any makes of after market pipes? Opinions?
Try a search over the last few months as has been discussed a lot before. Or search on M3cutters. Cheapest mod is to remove secondary cats for more noise under load.Has anyone tried any makes of after market pipes? Opinions?
Hi, I have just had a BMW M Performance exhaust fitted to my E92 M3.
I've only had the car a few weeks (its a 57 car with 25k miles) but
pretty much had decided before buying that it was going to get a sound improvement. I had a new one back in late 07 for c. 6 mths and at the
time felt a bit underwhelmed by it noise-wise, unless you were giving
fairly full revs.
I didn't want the aggro of 'discussing' with insurers, liked the idea
of their own unit having gone thru their own R&D (hopefully meaning zero drone etc) and from what I could see on-line, it sounded great. Also I
felt it would help the resale prospects for the car, being gen BMW bmw
parts etc.
Its pricey for sure (c.2750 fitted), but for me these cars represent great value right now, particularly if an early approved car, so I kind of justfied it that way.
Its gives the noise a decent bit more volume and edge at low to mid revs and when nicely warmed up sounds great, and for me, lifts the character of the car nicely.
I could be a bit off here, as it was a while ago I drove one, but from the inside of the car it kinda sounds like a stock audi R8 now, and although thats no CSL in terms of sound, its better than a stock E92 M3.
Hope that helps.

Where are you based pls? A friend of mine wants to hear the PBMW back box as loves OEM upgrades.I've only had the car a few weeks (its a 57 car with 25k miles) but

Thanks, hadn't considered a gen BMW, does seem expensive though when you consider with a bit of haggling you can get a switchable pse for a 911 for close to that. I've only had the car a few weeks (its a 57 car with 25k miles) but

Had a miltek on an s5 a few yrs ago and was underwhelmed by that, the m3 is replacing a 911 with a gt3 cup system on so was always going to sound a bit flat. Having said that I put a tubi on a cayman S and that was just to droning, deff don't want that again
Did you haggle hard on the price?
