So far I have resisted getting a muscle car since moving to the US - this might finally be the tipping point though - 580bhp for $54k. Mighty tempting...

Hmmm, more like 70-80 grand sitting here in the UK wouldn't have thought anywhere near 100K.

But for 70-80 grand why would you have this over an F430, Gallardo, 997 Turbo etc.

This is why "cheap" yank muscle cars don't work in this country, import tax's etc take the fun and value out of them and you end up with a powerful, not upto european standards for supercar money.

Yep moved here about 2 years ago - I still convert everything back to £ in my mind so at £33k it seems ludicrous value! Puts things into perspective when you look at pricing of the new Toyobaru etc of what you can get out here in terms of cheap power.

Because you can't buy a new F430 for 70 grand?

The lighter 650hp GT500 will be even more tempting then.

But by the end of the year there will be a new Viper which will have eleven billion horsepower for $3.50.

That's correct but that is no matter now as he lives in the US, but in the UK it's a 100+ grand car that's a couple of years old for 70K rather than spending 70-80K for a Yank car valued at 56 thousand dollars new which in Sterling is around 36 grand.

$54k which is MRSP too, you might get a deal if lucky.

Do it FFS ! How much is the fastest Charger though, always been partial to those (the V6 was useless though).

Don't forget the dealer's standard $20000 "premium".
