I can't view YouTube here but is it when he sort of locks up and runs into the wall on the straight? If so it's when his steering wheel fell off

That describes it.
It explains the wheel appearing to be in his hands a moment later, but I was assuming removable...

No, car was shipped out in October and is on its way back now. Lyford is nice. Should/might a be PH story about it all soon!
