Not nice for the people involved but good on them!

king well right though.I am sure one reason unemployment is not worse right now is that staff in many firms - I know a few myself - have mucked in. Managers and workers have taken pay cuts in some cases. Teams of staff have preferred to take the pain of reduced pay/hours and keep a 'critical' team together than to see further redundancies and a maintenace of pay, at the expense of long term survival.

But good on the understanding of a few people to realise that they want a job instead of taking the company to the wall and having nothing.
