winter wheels for cooper s
Discussion
Quick question, hopefully someone can confirm/advise.
My 04 Cooper S has 17" alloys + runflats, not likely to be much use in the snow. Was thinking of acquiring a cheap set of 15" steel wheels from ebay/or a breakers to see me through the winter.
Is there any difficulty with this? Will they fit over the brakes etc?
Thanks in advance...

There is a big diffrence in snow and ice with winter tyres. Read EVO how put a number of diffrent tyers to the test. I have driven with normal, all weather and winter tyers in snow and you can just get grip with the winter tyers you can not with the others. You dont have to go smaller but it will in most cases save on cost.

Drifting outside Buck house and down the Mall is not "driving like a tool" as i explained to the nice policeman during the last seasons dump of snow at 05:00am
My R56 was ace, even on summer tyres (why would you want grip
)
I had a very similar conversation last winter after creating some crop circles in the works car park
