Amazing what forums show up when you do a 'show all', even ones which are exactly what you're looking for...

OK, 1996 Ford Fiesta. I changed the front disks and pads a month ago, Halford's best Ferodo parts.

Friday night the car was sluggish, and then started to squeal slightly from the front left - a 'wiggle' of the steering wheel seemed to clear it, and I was not far from home.

Checked the wheel when I got home, and it was hot .

Any pointers for what to change/adjust/fix? Copaslip somewhere? Fluid? Lumphammer? (Ford dealer?)

I didn't use any copaslip when I changed the pads cos I wasn't sure what needed greasing.

Thanks in advance... again...

Pads or calipers binding? Did you clean off all the crud before putting the new pads in? If they're single-sided calipers do the two parts move freely in and out of each other?

If it is low mileage and you didn't clean the caliper last time you changed the pads then pads jamming in the caliper would be my guess. Alternatively assuming it is a single pot floating caliper it could be a sticky slider.
