Favourite supercar?

I'm not exactly sure what constitutes a supercar anymore. Is there a minimum bhp? Does it have to be mid-engined? Can it only have 2 seats? When I think of supercars, I automatically think Lamborghini. I guess this is quite a good shout!
However, although I like Lamborghinis and would love to drive one at some point in my life, I would hate to own one as I would hardly use it (too wide and ruinously expensive to run). Now for instance, a high end 911, Maserati or Nissan GTR is a match for a Lamborghini in terms of power but I would expect most people would not regard them as supercars. Is this because they are too cheap, too ubiquitous or not dramatic enough to look at?
I guess that for a supercar which is special enough but that I could actually use everyday (or at least every week), the following would be some of my favourites:
The McLaren F1 is a car that I never really got until now (too clinical) but its looks have stood the test of time well (especially against the rather bland-looking MP4-wotsit). I'm sure that McLaren know what they're doing and that the new car would be faster in the hands of 90% of drivers but it has to be said that the F1 is still lighter and faster and a proper analogue supercar. I would put the Veyron in the same category as the new McLaren, a very impressive piece of engineering and I think quite stunning to behold in the metal but just too easy to drive quickly (where's the drama)?
This is probably my favourite classic supercar but by all accounts not a great drive and hopelessly outgunned by most modern sports cars.
None of my choices seem to follow a particular template, so what makes a supercar a supercar and what's your favourite supercar (past or present)?
