Looking for a RR

Morning all,
Currently I'm debating a complete car change and looking at going from a mini to a range rover. (Yes you read that right!)
Milage will be limited and only used at weekends and the occassional evening.
Currently I'm looking around the £16k Mark and round 40-50k miles which seems about right.
Any idea's on the following?
1. Much difference internally / mechanically between the orignal 2002 shape and the facelift from this?
2. What Mpg I can expect from the diesel or petrol? How much to fill up? How many miles to a tank?
3. What to look out for? ( Differential on td6?, tacky chrome stick on bits.)
4. rough running cost's?
