Anyone transported there MB around using the Chim ? Probably not easily possible but thought I'd ask in case anyone has a cunning way of doing it that they'd be prepared to share.... Haven't tried to get mine in/on the car yet...

Thanks....Chilli

Its a Boardman full sus, fits perfectly. Had a big polythene sheet to cover the boot for the way home.
Most practical car ever.

yes

The whole reason I went for a Chim is that it's a sports car you can actually fit stuff in rather than just a weekend toy!

I've yet to try my bike (large frame Sub 5, so it could be tricky...) but it'll hold suitcases and guitar bags, which would see a Caterham or Elise left in the garage.

Plus it's a myth that Chimps are so unreliable that you need back up anyway.....

Thanks Guys, will try getting the bike in the boot this weekend, then off to Thetford forest. Great thing about hooning it round the forest is no speed cameras biggrin

I can fit my full sus Trek ex9 in. Need to take the seat off, let the air out of the forks and take the wheels off. Also need to ditch the spare wheel and put the roof on or leave it at home!

Used to fit both my kona hard tail or my road bike in the boot (not at the same time). Seat and both wheels off for both.

yes

I keep trying to explain to people why it's useful to have a fun car you can get stuff in ... If you only drive the roads around, say, North Wales, once a year on a mountain biking trip it's nothing short of torture to leave your fun car at home and take something sensible. This way you get to scare yourself on the way to the trails as well as when you get there.
