The sad thing is that I am away and my dad has just collected it. He called me just now so I could listen to the noise... I am very excited, but I have to wait 2 weeks before I get behind the wheel. Thanks to the pistonheads people for answering my various questions over the last few weeks, still need another baby seat (18 months old twins) and will probably get the classic additions car cover. Anybody got anything lying around.

Congrats on an excellent purchase, I've had my 996tt for 8 weeks now and love it.

I'm just coming up to 1 year of ownership of mine. The thrill hasn't diminished at all, and it's still an event driving it every time.

Fantastic cars.

Completed my summer 3200 mile trip round Europe and into Croatia and it never missed a beat all the way and we saw 170mph a couple of times (would have been more if the autobahn wasnt so busy)

I struggle to see any car for the price keep up with it especially this time of year with slippy roads.

Well done and lets have more posts about ownership thoughts and experiences

About 6 months in now and love my 996tt.... I drove 7 911's before I settled on my 996tt and have never looked back.

I've done more miles in the last 6 months than I did in the last year of owning my TVR Tuscan... The 996tt is so useable and so comfy on long journeys... I hear a drive to see my mate in Prague (via Germany) calling me smile

I've seen the pics?? They must have been on the Scotland section?? One month in and use use every excuse to go out in her. Even took 3 friends across the country last week. The 2 in the back were not impressed.

Snap! I recall us all discussing our searches around last winter and I too have loved every second; it's the car I should have always had! And I was lucky enough to pick up one of the faster coloured ones, Lapis Blue...shout LEIGH!

Now, once I've finished mentoring the odd OPC on how to do things properly my experience will be complete!

Safe driving!

I notice you have yours up for sale, surprising how people do this after spending the last 12 months getting it properly sorted, yours must be mint by now!

It is (mint) and it isn't (up for sale (anymore))! Had a momentary relapse which has now thankfully passed! With two now at Uni I felt the need for a little more space moving them and their junk about, but then I just bought them a big suitcase and a railcard each. Simples! biglaugh
