A little suprised that EJ hasnt taken the Murdoch money - does that mean he is staying at the BBC?
Have to admit that whilst i dont want to give Sky any more money i fear that i will have no choice as i want to watch live F1 & not recorded races which is what we will get. Also dont want to wait until the 3rd race of the season to watch F1 live.
Have to hope that, as a Sky subsciber but not a Sky Sports subscriber, there will be some sort of deal offered to customers.
I know that the Sky F1 channel details have been released however as yet i havent been able to work out what it might cost me each month.

Croft, Brundle, Kravitz, Davison, Pinkham (yeah I would!) are all very good at what they did for the BBC. Whilst I like Jake, DC and EJ. unless they have some massive "names" to unveil in the near future I'll be heading to Sky (assuming Virgin Media can carry it)

I'm sure he wants the Olympic's gig so he won't leave the BBC.....yet! I wonder if he will be going 'over' for 2013 and beyond???I read somewhere that DC is contracted until the end of 2012...maybe he will move next year as well??
Got to say though, great line up for next year....Brundle and Crofty should be fantastic
Despite all the negative press, the BBC will retain the majority of the viewers so I doubt there's much incentive for a dyed in the wool BBC presenter like JH to jump ship. He's not a one trick pony like the rest of them who are F1/motorsports to the core - he's as likely to pop up doing come dancing or the generation game or it's a knockout.

I'm not actually going to miss any of them - Jake, DC and EJ "make" the programme for me - maybe someone like Ben Edwards doing the commentary alongside DC? Brundle is good, but he's not the only person out there who can do the job...
Leigh McK also does a great job and is seemingly well liked by the drivers so I'd imagine she'll take over from "Mr Smug" Ted K?

Excessive use of touch screen kit to draw on videos and excessive use of slow motion replays - pending.
Whilst they have taken some good people, like Brundell and Davidson (Crofty's good on the radio for sure I am not 100% about TV). They have managed to pick up alot of dross along the way with people like Rider, Lazenby, the two lasses and dare I say it - Kravitz, who could really do with being replaced.
Sky are definitely aiming to set a new standard for F1, in terms of the level of coverage. However, I see the potential for alot more quantity than quality here... afterall with the best will in the world filling an entire weekend is going to be difficult. They have also thrown F1 into the "Skysports coverage calculator" which has produced rubbish coverage for rugby. The cricket coverage really isn't that bad at all... but crucially for cricket they don't need to stretch anything to fill a week and they never resorted to the samey policy of drawing in viewers based on getting another look at Georgie Thompson.

Article in newspaper today, was hinting at the possibilty that the BBC will bring back Leg-End (aka c0ckII) as lead commentator, or recruit the original c0ck, James Allen. If they bring back Leg-End that will be the end of my watching F1 on TV, seeing as I won't be Skying.

The rest could be said of the BBC, Jake presented childrens TV before he got the gig and knew nothing of F1. He could also be described as smarmy.
Before condemning the coverage how about waiting to see what its like ?
