Hi All,

I thought I would share this with you:

I tried to buy a component from http://www.europerformance.co.uk on Monday that was urgently needed so I paid for overnight delivery. The delivery did not happen so I rang them and was told that they had been let down by their delivery service. Now, you can only truly judge a service provider by what they do when the service fails. Euro Performance told me that the part would not arrive until tomorrow, I said that I needed the part today. What did they do? They put another one on a bike and delivered it to me directly! They even refunded me the delivery cost!! Thanks to Dan and the team I now have the part in the nick of time. Great service!

B

PS: I have no connection with them apart from being a surprised customer!

I think they're infering that Amari owns the company you speak of. Amari of Lamborghini/high end exotica fame and not generally a trusted character on PH.

Maybe the mods should lock this one too.

Ahh, I see! LOL. I wish I did! Or at least I wish I had his car selection (just Googled him). Unfortunately I am just a simple technical head within the TV industry and whist I have a few nice motors I have nothing on Amari. My story is a genuine one and despite any grievances between Amari and PH members, Dan an Europerformance is a good guy and really went the extra mile for me today.

Dan: The filter is now in (despite a ceased / sheared nut I had to drill and re-tap) and I am ready for the rollers! Thanks!!

FYI: Magic is referring to a recent recommendation I gave after receiving excellent service from another provider (nothing to do with me OR Amari!). Unfortunately this was pounced on by the usual undesirable negative forum members who derive pleasure in putting fellow members down and slagging off service providers they have never been involved with, all from the safe anonymity of the computer in the bedroom. Magic himself had a half hearted attempt and it was clear that he had not bothered to read through the thread before he did so. In the end the moderators had to lock the topic. ;-)

Pistonheads has been attracting more and more of these type of people over the last few years, one of the reasons a number of us 'ol timers have been frequenting it less as time progresses. This is a great shame; there is still a core of knowledgeable, helpful people within Pistonheads so it can be a useful resource.

I have been a member on and off for about a decade, most of which on my current username and in the begining it used to be that you could share experiences, good or bad with fellow members. Then Pistonheads put in place rules to prevent us mentioning anything bad about companies for fear of litigation, however unlikely. So if a number of us get ripped off by the same provider we had to keep quiet about it which meant we could not forewarn fellow members. Fair enough, I can see Paul’s point and it is better to err on the side of caution, particularly where lawyers could get involved. However, it has always been that we can post good experiences. At least that is something. Now even this is being jeopardised by the actions of the lower forms of PH life. :-)

Perhaps you are right, Magic. Mods: lock this now before the trolls appear. Oh no – too late! :-0

Pretty sure they're just referring to a spate of pretty transparent advertising threads that popped up a while back where the OP mentioned the Amari name about a dozen times in every post (helping the google ratings?

Just a pretty normal PH meme - no need to take offence, I don't think? wink

No offence taken :-) Until Sday12 and JD mentioned his name I was unaware he even existed!

I think, perhaps, this information may be incorrect. I just received this from the sales manager:

==========================================================================================================

Hi

Thanks for your comments, we always appreciate negative and positive feedback. I can assure you Europerformance have never heard of this Amari and have nothing to do with him. Europerformance is a family owned business that has been trading since 2002 who pride themselves on offering a friendly personal service.

Hope this clears it all up for PH.

Kind Regards

Jack Moules
Euro Performance Sales Manager

Well I think you are a shower of idiots!

4 weeks for parts to arrive, and then they are not the parts I ordered. Emails initially ignored, phone calls not returned when promised and then you email me at lunchtime to say you will collect the parts that very same day!

Avoid.....

I've used them before, and everything appeared before they should have, and were exactly as ordered. Therefore, I can only conclude the poster above has been unlucky in the extreme.
