I bought these a while back, but given that I have a strong dislike for TVR electrics, I elected to let David Batty fit them when he serviced the car..

Well used them tonight in the dark for the first time... OMG!

Now the lights on my S seemed OK to me before.. certainly one of the better ones, but the previous owner replaced them about 6 onths before I bought the car.

Still... they've gone in with Philips Blue Vision bulbs... jeez... they're bright. They seem to illuminate a considerably larger portion of the road, but the quality of the light is excellent too... absolutely AMAZED at the difference... worth every penny

Mine give an undefined glow rather than a beam.
I was thinking that I may get some tea lights and drop in the reflectors to double the output!

I fitted some of these about a month ago, not driven in the dark yet, but will not be fearing as I used to.

I used to console myself with the fact I could see just by the bright green glow emenating from the cabin.

Podie mate, did you get bulbs with yours? When I ordered I was asked if I wanted bulbs with them, I said no, but a pair of Lucas H4 Bulbs turned up anyway. Did you get these?

I ordered over the internet, so wasn't asked about bulbs...

They arrived with some H4's in them, and some sidelights... but all were replaced with Philips Blue Vision jobbies from www.powerbulbs.com (free sidelights).

Figured if I was going to go for better lighting, I might as well go the whole hog...

Ah, nuts. Well never mind. I now have a surpluss of bulbs. I just replaced the old lights with Ring Xenon, 50% brighter jobbies and I'm not too impressed. May try out these Phillips thing. Just spend rather troo much on the car recently, what with new exhaust, shocks, throttle pot, coil, leads and lights.

I fitted the Philips jobbies to other cars I've owned and been happy with them, so tried the Blue Vision ones this time (previously used the Vision Plus ones).

I'd also recommend powerbulbs as well... always had excellent service..

I've tried a few and the Phillips were the best.
I also found the Ring Sportz Blue to be excellent if you like a real HID look and they are also really bright white. However they are not legal for road use but does that stop any of us??

Mine passed the MOT, I guess they're hardly likely to take all your bulbs out to check on the test!

Superb .....I like the name of the company!

The powerbulbs.com website used to have an extract of a bulb test by the motoring press, Phillips were top and Osram second. A link to the site was posted here in this thread above somewhere.

Here it again: - www.powerbulbs.com

I changed my lights too and also drive with my full beam on all the time - very few people flash me!

The ones that do always seem to have their front fog lamps on anyway! My pet hate!

Never get flashed by women
