Z4M vs BA plane

Right, not good news anyone in Scotland will know its a bit breezy just at the moment.... Resulting in my flight to London to be cancelled......
So next week..... I'll need to get home for Christmas so that's Edinburgh to Farnham or 470 odd miles..... Do I book a flight and have the airport close on me or do what I have done for the past 2 years and driven? Will the car be more reliable or will snow scupper my chances by road?

They ran a Sunday service last year when it got even to bad to drive....... Just wonder if BMWs get a bad rap for their winter driving due to crap drivers or it's just a case of bad design? I drove my Elise through the worst of the snow and never got fully caught out?
Elise has weight over the driven wheels. If you're going to drive, plan ahead for a big dump of snow the night you plan to drive. Get snow chains now, and possibly winter tyres too - if you live in Scotland you'll get a big benefit from them as the temperature gets so much lower.
They really make a massive difference - I had a van with them fitted and it's like night and day.
